Let’s talk in detail about the characteristics of vertical injection molding machines. As we know, there are many types of injection molding machines on the market now. (1) Characteristics of vertical injection molding machine:

1. The injection device and the locking device are located on the same vertical centerline, and the mold opens and closes in the up-down direction. Its land area is only about half of that of a horizontal machine, so when converted to land area, its productivity is about twice as high.

2. Easy to achieve insert molding. Because the surface of the mold is facing upwards, it is easy to position the insert. If a machine model with a fixed lower template and a movable upper template is used, and the belt conveyor is combined with a robotic hand, fully automatic insert molding can be easily achieved.

The weight of the mold is supported by a horizontal template for up and down opening and closing actions, without the phenomenon of the mold being unable to open and close due to the gravity of the mold, similar to that of a horizontal machine. Beneficial for maintaining the precision of machinery and molds with durability.

4. By using a simple robotic arm, various plastic mold cavities can be removed, which is beneficial for precision molding.

5. The general locking device is surrounded by an open type, making it easy to configure various automation devices and suitable for automatic molding of complex and delicate products.

6. The belt conveyor device is easy to install through the middle of the mold, making it convenient for automatic production of molding.

7. It is easy to ensure the consistency of resin fluidity and mold temperature distribution inside the mold.

8. Equipped with rotating tabletops, mobile tabletops, and inclined tabletops, it is easy to achieve embedded molding and in mold combination molding.

9. During small-scale trial production, the mold structure is simple, cost-effective, and easy to disassemble and assemble.

10. Having been tested by multiple earthquakes, vertical machines have better seismic resistance compared to horizontal machines due to their lower center of gravity.
